This drum is made from Red Deer rawhide which has been stitched to a hoop made from a single piece of solid, steam bent Ash. The handle has been made from rawhide from the same skin as the drum head. This is my favourite style of shamanic drum because the open back allows the sound vibrations to flow from the drum without obstruction or interference. The voice of this drum is in my opinion, as an experienced drum maker, absolutely beautiful. 

The Red Deer hide was prepared by a shamanic practitioner in the Lake District and was sourced from a farmed deer herd. 

The drum will be supplied with a felted beater, chosen to bring out the best sounds and a care advice leaflet. She is ready to support and guide you on your journey and bring healing.
